Omega 3 is very important to the bloodstock because the feeds given have shown improved egg morphology along with increased viability. During embryonic development omega 3 fatty acids are critical to insuring proper ova formation which supports embryonic growth. If the larvae have been able to consume more omega 3 fatty acids, then it will improve the weight of the fish which will improve the survivability of the larvae after yolk absorption. Omega 6 also plays an important role in the overall health of the fish.
